A little about me. . .
This seems a little overzealous since I am probably the only one that will ever look at this tumblr but I digress. . . .
Anyway, I am 21 years old and I will be graduating from college next month!
I decided to transition from relaxed to natural my sophomore year of college after finding a hair care forum for women of color looking to grow their hair.
April 2, 2010 was my last relaxer so I just made two years post yesterday. At that point my hair was thinning but everyone (minus Mom) kept telling me how fierce it looked. I was also starting to get dandruff and I had THREE growing bald spots front and center on my hair line. Talk about a disaster.
I knew that I didn't want to big chop, so I decided to a long transition, two years at the least. Now two years later my hair has reached lengths I never though it could. I made APL in May and was scraping BSL by the end of August. It has been an amazing ride, filled with lots of joy and a little frustration. Regardless, I'm happy that I made the choice to finally do something about my hair.
I can't decide when I want to chop the relaxed ends. I'm itching to do it now, but I'm afraid that I won't know what the heck to do with my hair for graduation.
Anyway, I started this tumblr so that I could finally start keeping track of my hair journey. I will also feature inspirational natural hair pics, quotes, funny gifs that have nothing to do with hair; basically anything.
